01Scope and developer
This policy explains information handling in CR Film and its accompanying website. The developer is Zhaobin Zhang. Contact: vitazhang@live.com.
02Photos and on-device processing
Captured or imported photos, available RAW originals, thumbnails, edit recipes and related image metadata are stored on your device. Color, grain, crop and frame processing runs locally. CR Film does not upload this content to developer servers or use photos to train models. Imported files may contain capture time or location metadata, which may remain in originals, exports or backups you choose.
03Permissions
Camera access is used for live preview and capture. Add-to-Photos access saves images according to your preferences. Import uses the system photo picker and processes only selected images. File import, export and backup use the system file picker and chosen directories. Device motion is processed locally to determine camera orientation. You can change permissions in system settings. The app does not request Contacts, Microphone or Location access for these features.
04Optional iCloud backup
Only after you enable backup and choose a directory does the app write originals, developed images and backups to a CR Film folder in your selected iCloud Drive location. Apple manages cloud transfer, storage and synchronization under its policies and terms. Disabling automatic backup stops future automatic writes; existing files remain under your control. A completed local write does not confirm completed cloud upload. Verify needed copies before removing originals.

The current version does not require a CR Film account. It contains no advertising, advertising-identifier tracking or third-party behavioral analytics SDK. App preferences and edit records are stored locally to provide features. We do not sell photos or personal information.
06In-App Purchases and restoration
CR Film 1.0.0 (Build 3) does not currently offer paid purchases. The planned Pro offering is a one-time, non-consumable purchase through the Apple App Store, with no automatic renewal. If enabled, purchasing and restoration will use Apple StoreKit. The app will read and verify Apple-provided product and transaction identifiers, purchase and revocation status, and entitlements on your device solely to unlock features and restore purchases. Under the current design, this transaction information is not sent to a developer-operated server, and the developer does not receive your Apple Account password or payment-card details. Apple processes payment under its applicable rules. Restoring a purchase generally requires the Apple Account used for the original purchase. The final purchase screen and applicable terms will define the price, included benefits and future-update commitments. We will verify the implementation and update this notice before purchases launch. Any future server verification will be explained before the additional processing begins.
07System diagnostics and TestFlight
Apple or TestFlight may process diagnostics, testing usage and feedback or screenshots you choose to send, according to your settings and Apple policies. The developer may receive Apple-provided testing or crash reports to improve stability. CR Film does not independently collect your full photo library for diagnostics.
08Voluntary feedback
If you email the developer, we receive your address and any text, attachments or device details you choose to provide, for communication and troubleshooting. Avoid sending unrelated sensitive content. Once handled, we retain only information needed to resolve issues, maintain service or meet legal obligations. Contact us to request deletion of feedback you submitted.
09Export, deletion and storage
You may export originals, developed photos and .crfilm backups, and delete darkroom records. Darkroom deletion, freeing local originals, deleting Photos images and deleting iCloud files are separate actions and do not automatically remove every copy. Freeing originals keeps darkroom previews and recipes. Darkroom deletion leaves existing Photos images and independent iCloud backups intact. Uninstalling may remove local app data. Keep the backups you need.
10Website visits
This website includes no advertising or behavioral analytics scripts and offers no photo upload feature. Hosting providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser types and access logs for delivery, security and operation. Site language selection uses page paths and browser language, with your manual selection remembered for the current tab session. Email links open your mail application; the corresponding providers handle email delivery.
11Your choices
Revoke permissions in system settings, disable optional backup in the app and manage or delete copies in their respective locations. Contact us regarding access, correction or deletion of information you submitted through feedback. Future purchases or new information-processing features will be reflected in updated notices and this policy. You may also request information about, access to, correction of or deletion of information you voluntarily send us. Requests will be verified by necessary and proportionate means; ordinary support requests do not require identity documents. There is no CR Film account to close. Apple Accounts, transaction records and iCloud files are managed through Apple’s corresponding controls. Deleting photos or uninstalling the app does not automatically reverse a completed purchase or erase Apple transaction records.
12Security and third-party services
The app uses system permissions and file pickers to access content you authorize. Protect your device, backups and exported files; backups may include originals and image metadata. iCloud, the App Store, email tools and external websites you choose to open process information under their respective providers’ policies. Cloud storage regions, transmission and encryption depend on the actual service and account settings. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-app advertising tracking. Any legally required processing or disclosure will be limited to the scope required by applicable law.
13Children
Users under 14 should use the app with a guardian’s guidance. A guardian should decide whether to enable cloud backup, make a purchase or send feedback. The app does not request age or identity documents and is not designed to collect children’s personal information. Guardians who believe a child’s information was inadvertently sent through feedback may contact the developer to request assistance.
14Policy changes
Updates will appear here with a revised date. We will provide appropriate notice before significant changes to information handling take effect.
