Start with your first frame.

A few answers to help you begin.

How do I take a photo?

Allow camera access, choose a color look and format, then press the CR shutter. Use the controls beside the shutter for film strength and warmth. Long-press a point in the finder, then drag up or down to adjust exposure.

Where are photos and originals saved?

Captured photos appear in the darkroom. Your settings control saving developed photos and optional originals to Photos. Choose View Original while editing to compare the untouched source.

How do backup and recovery work?

Enable automatic iCloud backup in Settings and select an iCloud Drive folder. The app creates a CR Film folder containing originals, developed photos and .crfilm backups. iCloud handles synchronization. Import a backup with Restore from Files / iCloud.

What does freeing space remove?

It removes full-resolution originals from the darkroom while keeping previews and edit recipes. This action leaves Photos and existing independent backups intact. Verify the copies you need before removal. Deletion in iCloud Photos can synchronize across devices.

How do I advance film in retro mode?

The shutter curtain stays closed after capture. Rotate the orange CR shutter button to advance the film. Once the curtain opens, you can take the next photo. Follow the reload prompt when the roll is full.

How can I get the app?

CR Film 1.0.0 is being tested through TestFlight. There is currently no public download link. Contact the developer for information about testing.
